Sophie and Sylvie Morgenstein - Both Sophie and Sylvie are characters from the site http://www.societytwins.com. That is their blog site where they discuss what is going on in their life as well as their brother Davis Morgenstein who went missing 6 weeks ago. Both Sophie and Sylvie have facebook pages... Davis Morgenstein - He is the missing brother to Sophie and Sylvie. Davis has a degree in international relations from Oxford. He was an intern at the UN. Admires Dag Hammarskjöld.
Adele Morgenstein - Mother of Sophie, Sylvie, and Davis. An intellect of 'blue blood', she is active in volunteer work with a variety of charities.
Randall Morgenstein - He is the father of The Twins and Davis. He is a U.N. diplomat, and according to The Twins, he "pulled some strings" to get Davis the internship.
Sullivan O'Herlihy - Sullivan is a writer for a newspaper called "Rag of the World." He wrote an article on the disappearance of Davis. He also wrote an article about finding the MADinDanvers' dead body in Danvers, MA. Why a reporter living in New York (and all the crime it has) decided to focus on this one case in Massachusetts is unknown. He also has a facebook page, but by the looks of it doesn't want to add any friends to it, so we will just have to watch his wall everyday. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002746591924&sk=info
Mr. Hatchet - Mr. Hatchet appears to be an employee of The Shadow Gang. They have provided information, such as the profile page of Sullivan O'Herlihy. In regards to Mr. Hatchet himself, he seems to have controlled The Shadow Gang's twitter account. As I was out in the field, Mr. Hatchet was very frantic, and the their website http://www.theshadowgang.com was taken down as he said it was going to be. Mr. Hatchet seems to be pulling the strings at TSG. He had informed me via DM that TSG twitter was compromised. Upon being given this information, Mr. Hatchet left me a clue "Meet me where they eat cows and pigs." A bit ago I got a tweet saying "It's me. Cows and Pigs eaten here." His new twitter is http://twitter.com/#!/MADinDANVERS.
The Shadow Gang Twitter contact/MADinDANVERS - It is unclear if this character plays a role in the overall story or if he/she was only used for the purpose of possible busy-work to keep early players engaged while the ARG team finished ironing out all of the loose ends and web coding that had been found so far by people digging deeper than expected.
After repeated interrogation by one game participant asking the TSG Twitter why information was now being removed and covered up (regarding The Shadow Gang's business as running ARGs and interactive entertainment), the TSG contact engaged this player in a long string of private messages about putting him in contact with a Mr. Hatchet, a 'janitor' who cleans up 'messes'. After receiving a phone message from Mr. Hatchet, the TSG Twitter contact began to talk to the game player about compromised communications, later contacting him by a new Twitter handle, MADinDANVERS. At this point, MADinDANVERS seemed to have pursuers on his/her trail as he/she traveled through various points in Massachusetts around the Danvers area. At first there was talk about needing many people to help with something big as MAD traveled first towards Hubbardston to get something on the directions of a figure MAD couldn't safely identify, but "had a feeling". However, it was never made clear what he/she wanted people to do to help outside of providing directions between cities. Never reaching the mystery item, eventually MAD lost his/her vehicle (type unknown) to the pursuers and hopped a ride with a church group for a short ways, going back towards Danvers, finishing the trip on foot. With the Danvers Mental Hospital (now apartments) the new goal to reach, MAD makes it there but then gives away his/her location purposely to the pursuers, taunting them by posting information about him/herself on the TSG twitter despite earlier mentions of MAD's family possibly being at risk for such an act. The last message given by MAD was "They're here." And a link to a photo of the Facebook page for Armand Cage, a head member of Nexus Humanus.
Known information: The TSG contact told Brandon that they go through a long chain to contact Mr. Hatchet and vice versa, suggesting that the TSG contact is not Mr. Hatchet MADinDANVERS stated "Why does everyone think I'm Hatchet?" and "for all I know Hatchet set me up. Screwed TSG and is behind all this napkin business." MADinDANVERS is a web copy writer, former food critic. MADinDANVERS also isn't Sullivan - "he can't be involved. Why would O'H want to hurt me." MAD posted on Twitter using both an iPhone and an iPad, interchanging at random, even while traveling on foot. MAD has family possibly at risk of being harmed by the same pursuers for revealing some identity to the public. Though it is unknown how reliable this information is, "someone who lives in a dumpster near [TSG] headquarters" claimed in O'Herlihy's article that TSG is involved with aliens. Armand Cage - Armand is a head member of the group known as Nexus Humanus. In the video on the main page of the NH website, he appears as wearing a "cult" type of outfit. In the past, he seems to have had some mental issues because in part of the video, explains that "things got pretty bad" in his brain. He, like some of the other characters has a facebook page. http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=100002764592120 Previous occupations include stand up comedian and weatherman.
Katsumoto Hasemi - A lab assistant for the genetics research company McLure Industries, which was founded by Grey McLure. He was the featured member Katsman on the NH website. On his profile, he said he liked to get to the bottom of things. He also mentioned that he worked with one Minka Dudek. He was shot to death on August 7, 2011, likely because he knew too much. His death is reported in an article that was sent to a couple people by Mr. Hatchet. Hatchet said the twins might be interested in the article.
